We are a small firm working on a rather large text-based over browser (in Flash) sci-fi game. We should be well on our way with development in Flash + XML-RPC and our interface is coming along well. We've met one problem so far...we need a graphic artist to create graphics to fill space for game components ie. weapon designs, vehicles etc. The graphics would be icon-sized, we aren't looking for 100% 3D graphics but more like isometric 3D pixel icon drawings. We are doing it this way to make graphics tiny, yet interesting to look at. The person who accepts this task will have more projects in the future as we create game upgrades. For now we are looking for about 50-100 graphics specified to our drawings and information. The person who accepts the task must show that he is capable of creating sci-fi graphics ie. power-generators, 3D space-ships, human objects etc. Since we don't have any artists on our team capable of this, we are willing to spend at least USD$500 which is already too much for our project. If you want to win the bid, I suggest aiming lower but it really depends on your talent.

* * *This broadcast message was sent to all bidders on Saturday Jul 2, 2005 2:07:46 PM:
This is a mass-bidder broadcast to all bidders of 300328. I've contacted some people in particular, these people I am specifically interested in seeing work from. Since I've had a lot of bids thus far I just wanted to let everyone know that the closest bidding price has been $350. Also if you are going to be providing a free mockup for us then we ask that you follow the guidelines below:
- use dark: black/grey/blue, tones with other sci-fi colors
- space crafts/space carriers/mech warriors/planets; either one is good or all three - w/e you would like
- we aren't looking for 100% 3D graphics, we are going for a more pixelated 3D isometric design
- the icons will be used in Flash...so if you could create the graphics in Flash or Freehand it would be a lot easier to work with than a regular GIF
I hope these guidelines are easy to follow and I can't wait to see some of the work that will be submitted. There is a lot of competition and the end date is a while from now, but if I see someone with a style I really like then most definately I will be picking them out right away.
Cheers,
David
