Web Site Database Program

I currently have a web data base written in cold fusion. I either want to upgrade it in cold fusion or use another database program to modify it.

If you know how to create, publish and manage a database on the internet, I am open to your suggestions and would like to discuss it with you!

I want to choose the fields, have my users complete and store their personal information and have data integrated with date generated email reminders.

Very interesting project in the field of personal growth and development.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

Thank you for your response to my ad.

I am sending this message to outline the project and what we are looking for.

We are a group of people who are providing services to empower individuals in their personal visions in life. We value honesty, openness, friendliness and our focus is centered on possibility and opportunity for everyone. We want someone who is knowledgeable and has a creative drive.

We currently have a web site database written in Cold Fusion. Our programmer is no longer available and the program has several bugs.

I have some familiarity with database design and some familiarity with Microsoft Access but do not know how to create a web site database.

I am looking for a programmer who will give me some guidance as to what are the best programs to use to create the objectives we want. Hopefully, someone who can understand the Cold Fusion script sufficiently to move the project forward rapidly no matter what program we finally settle on, but that’s not absolutely necessary.

Here is a general and partial overview of what I want to accomplish:

#1 I want to create a list of fields and data types and be able to edit them in the future.

#2 I want to be able to arrange these fields on various forms and have control over the graphics and copy on those forms.

#3 I want website users to be able to create their own user name and password after making payment for the service.

#4 I want them to be able to create a user profile with the ability to upload a picture and html activated links. I want them to be able to edit that profile anytime they want to.

#5 I want the users to be able to select other users that will be included in automatic email notifications when they submit a form.

#6 I want users to automatically be notified by filling in a date field.

#7 I want to generate printable reports

#8 I want someone who will be available for upgrades and error corrections.

#9 I want to be able to add forum boards and chat rooms

I am looking to have a basic program complete and ready to use by the 1st of October 2005. This may not include everything above but enough to be useable. You will be responsible to write this script in communication with me. This deadline is a priority!

Then, over the next three months I need a programmer who will:

#1 Participate in a further upgrade of this service to include flash technology and other changes and updates as those become apparent.

#2 Tutor me in website database management and programming.

#3 And, finally, be available to check my future programming skills and give me guidance so that I can eventually mange the database script for our website service myself Deadline is Jan 1, 2006

We are open to negotiations on compensation, and are looking for some one who is knowledgeable, friendly, available by phone, and able to keep promised deadlines.

Since our service is in the personal growth and development field we consistently have customers who are interested in creating web pages and may be looking for a programmer. So, this would be an added benefit to you for taking on this project and should be considered in our negotiations.

If you feel you can powerfully handle this project then please explain to me how you can fulfill on these objectives and tell me a little about yourself and what you are committed to in life.

At that point I will ask you to sign a copy write agreement and then send you a flow chart of the program objectives.

We will choose a programmer within the next week so your quick and complete response is appreciated.
