I have this site up and running now:

I need you to change the interface so it looks really nice, and add more features that I need.

A VERY important thing is that the site uses very little resources and load FAST!

I.e. I need it to integrate with eSellerate, RegNow and other shareware registration services. It should be possible to add new services from the Admin panel in the future ...

I also need to automate all features as much as possible, like the dialy padfile polling, and other things ... To limit manual work as much as possible ...

If you bid on this project you must be familiar with how a site like this should work, and you MUST be able to come up with own ideas how to make this site super great, as well as you must be able to add/do things I/we find out during developement would be great to have.

All features must be controlled from a nice Admin panel, from where I can edit mail templates, turn features on/off etc ...

I.e. When an author submit a product, the system should send a confirmation email to him, and, when the system poll padfiles and find an update, our online MySQL db will be updated and a mail sent to author we updated...

We also need to feature programs in display boxes on main and other pages.

When a user download a program, on the dl page we also suggest similar programs to download.

We should also be able to display banners etc in an easy way ...

The site should also display nice lists of "New Programs", "Popular Programs" (Both total and last 7 days), "Latest downloaded files" etc ...

This should be done in PHP and MySQL ... If possible, use what I have or write new from scratch ... It's up to you .

All code must be easy to read/follow and commented well where it is needed.

Hopefully you got an idea what I want ...
