I have a personal project that I use for myself at work that is currently written as a standard ASP.NET Web Part but makes several SharePoint OM calls and is hosted within a SharePoint Web Part page. The application functions at about 90% right now. The project is a class library, written as a composite control so it is just C# files. I ported this to a WCF service providing all the relevant data, so the interface is completly really abstracted from SharePoint, so you don't need to know much about that. Problems with the service calls I will fix if they are run into. New methods you need I will write as well,. I have external source countrol to use.

The scope of this project is very straightforward, however is composed of several, smaller tasks.

Firstly, I current use DevExpress gauge controls, some of the Editor controls (ASPxLabel, etc.) all are used programatically as stated in the [url removed, login to view] gauges I use look like Fig 1. There are certain thresholds, however all the values that you see here are provided through a WCF serivce I wrote, so pretty easy to use.

The gauges are written in a static fashion, so are just a generic factory that you call. I broke out different class files based on gauge type for clarity. 85% of the application is the representation of data provided through the WCF service through this method. I would like to change the way the gauges look, function, etc. using Telerik controls for silverlight as a replacement. If you dont have the Telerik suite it can be downloaded in trial format for free. I am *really* looking for more a Silverlight guru that is great at interfaces, window use, etc. I am pretty good at C# and know the code really well, but not so hot in silverlight.

The only other part of the application that is different is the top tool bar. The top right buttons work just fine, the methods are currently just a click event wired with AutoPostBack set to true. I would ideal like some progress bars in a popup screen or something to here while the potentially long running work. I will provide the image I would like to use for the loader. The left part of the application is not currently 100%, and it's a pain for me to use. I never figured out the best way to pass values from a modal popup to the parent control with DevExpress, so I am used to typing in the url. The TreeView is just populated by the WCF service.
