The Blog [url removed, login to view] = TBA

Hi Sergio and Manuel,

Here is the Statement of Work and Specification for The Blog Automator project. If this looks correct to you I will post it on Scriptlance as a private project so you can place your bid. We can then manage the project and payment through Scriptlance.

Will you be able to enhance TBA site so that it can post to Squidoo lenses? We talked about that in the emails below, and I want to make sure that is something that you can do. See Squidoo at [url removed, login to view] If we can upgrade TBA so it can post to Squidoo lenses that would be a huge value to customers. Can it be done? We would want to do it in a way that does not cause Squidoo to shut down anyones account.

Please let me know if any of the following needs to be changed, or if you have any questions about this project. I very much look forward to getting this project started.

NOTE: The original site was built by the Scriptlance programmer named "skiv". He might answer any questions you have about the code and what he did to build the site.

regards, Craig

Statement of Work/Specfication:

The site is intended to be a monthly subscripton site, using Paypal, so that Customers(Users) can set-up User accounts that will allow the Customer/User to post articles and RSS feeds to a queue that then posts to their blogs on a schedule set by the Customer/User. Once the Customer sets-up their account, the posting should be automatic thereafter.

This is a server side application that the customer logs-in to for use. The customer should have full access to their User Account only if their monthly subsciption fee is paid. If the monthly subscripton fee fails to process, a warning email should be sent to the User upon intial payment process failure and then again after 5 days and again after 10 days. If the payment is not received by the 14th day the customer account should be de-activated... but

not erased. If the customer later pays the monthly subsciption fee, their account should be re-activated. A copy of the warning e-mails should be sent to the Administrator email address too. When an account is frozen for non-payment, an email should go to the User with a copy to the Adminstrator. The email should tell the User how to re-activate thier account.

The current version of the application only supports pasting articles into an aritcle queue for posting to User defined blogs. The application supports WordPress and Blogger blogs. That's all we need.

We desire to have the site upgraded to correct a few bugs and to add an ability to take in RSS feeds for posting to the queue for later posting on the user defined blogs. See the application called RSS2Blog at [url removed, login to view] for the desired added features. We would like to have The Blog Automator upgraded so that a User can add RSS feeds to their account and have those RSS posts queued for later posting on the User blogs on the schedule defined by the User.

The service should send a note to the User if thier queue is empty.

The service should check to ensure it only posts an item once, and does not post the same item to a blog more than once.

We would like to have both the articles and RSS feeds make use of the Category tag in Wordpress. The User should be able to select the Category for posting, based on available categories on thier blog.

There are a few program bugs in the Admin panel. See [url removed, login to view] Use the Admin logon info noted above. There is a problem with the set-up of new accounts. There seems to be a bug in the software that makes it difficult to set-up new accounts by the Administrator. The Administrator should have the ability to set-up new accounts and to edit or modify existing accounts. The Administrator should be able to set-up accounts for any $ amount, even $0, that the Administrator wants.

Most new User accounts should come through the main page of the site as a new Customer decides to join the service. The Adminstrator should be able to modify the monthly fee for existing accounts, and the system should send an email to the User and copy the Administrator if the monthly fee has been modified.

The Adminstrator should be able to add subsciption time to an account as a bonus. Example: An account is paid through Feb 28th. The Administrator should be able to add additional time to the account as a bonus. After the bonus period, the account should again bill on the monthly schedule as defined for the account at set-up.

There seems to be a bug with User account set-up. If the User selects a name that is too long it causes a problem. We need to have a maiximun username length specified and an error trap if the name is too long. When the User set-ups their account, they should get a confirming email that the account is active, and the email should show the selected Username and Password for account log-on. Copy this email to the Admin email address too. This does not seem to work correctly now, and needs to be fixed.

We want to use Paypal as the monthly subscription payment processor. The application was set-up to also handle Clickbank, but we do not need that. Just set-up the payment processing to use Paypal. This is a monthly subscription service that should automatically charge the Users Paypal account each month. The User should have an ability to cancel thier account. That feature needs to be added, and should be easy to use and understand.

We need the application to report usage statisitcs for each account. We need to see bandwdth usage and disk space usage for each account, and a total for the entire site. We would like this feature enhanced from the current version.

The index page should be converted to an html page. It should have the box in the upper right for the existing member logon as shown, and also have links through the "Click Here..." buttons to set-up a new account. I will need to be able to edit the sales copy on that page and need to have a simple .html page that I can update easily. The current format and colors are good as is.

We would like to make it easier to select and use video feeds from YouTube.

We'd like the user to be able to specify a keyword or keyphrase and then have the application draw a certain number of YouTube videos that fit that keyword for posting to the queue. The User should be able to select how many YouTube videos to upload to their queue each month. The process should be automatic after that. We need this to be in compliance with terms of use from YouTube.

We need to tell the Customer what the Wordpress or Blogger must have in order for the service to work. Some Customers may want to modify thier blogs, so we need to describe the core elements that must be activated and avialable in the blog theme for this service to work correctly.

We would like to add a service that a customer can contact to have

customized blog themes made that will still work fully with this service. I would like to have this service link to you... so that you can provide blog set-up and customization services to anyone who wants that sort of service. You would get all the fees for this work. It would be a service for Customers that you would provide and be responsbille for in support. Would you be interested in doing that? If so, just add the links.

This service should work with the standard blog templates for Wordpress and Blogger without need for customization.

OPTIONAL FEATURE: We would also like the User to be able to set-up a feed from Yahoo Answers. The User should be able to type in a keyword or keyphrase and then draw a certain number of questions and answers each month from Yahoo Answers to post on thier blog. TH\hUser should be able to select the number of Q&A's to draw each month for posting to thier queue for later posting to their blogs. This service needs to draw and post in compliance with the terms of use for Yahoo Answers.

We like simple and clean interfaces for the User. We want things Easy to Undertand and Easy to Use.

==========================

Note: I also use this URL for a variety of add-on domains. Please leave those add-ons domains as is. Do not modify or delete those site directories or files.

Questions? Please contact me.

This service is meant to be an easy way for someone to post good content on a regular basis to their blogs. If you have additional ideas for using content feeds that would make this a better service please let me know. We are looking for good ideas to make this a very attractive service.

Product Features - Question & Answer Summary

=========================

Features:

-monthly subscription using Paypal (login only if paid, otherwise blocked on 14th day until payment received).

-Take out clickbank

- Payment warning emails after 5 and 10 days without payment(With

instructions to reactivate). Copy of those emails must go to administrator

- scheduled auto-post on blog (set by user). W

- Warning note to the user if queue empty. Just post each item once.

- Capable to use the wordpress category tag. User can select category.

-Youtube videos will have different post schedule or will they share the same rss and blog schedule? ********

<ANSWER> YouTube will post on the same schedule as the RSS and Articles

-RSS feeds with the same blog schedule

-Add blog types?*********

<ANSWER> No. Having this work with Wordpress and Blogger blogs is good for now.

[url removed, login to view] has several features which of those are most

important?************

<ANSWER> Filter RSS feeds for keywords. Then only those RSS feed items that ass the filter are posted to the queue for later posting to the blog. Include a Negative Word filter... if that negative word is found in the RSS feed, that item does not get posted to the queue.

-Admin can setup accounts for costs from $0

-Administrator Edit/modify accounts even the monthly fee, add bonus time (based in days)

-Account can be created from website and confirm creation by email (showing logon email/password and send a copy to admin)

-Accounts must generate bills

-Accounts can be canceled by users

-Enhance the account statistics (bandwidth, disk usage) and also for all the site

-Convert the [url removed, login to view] page to an .html keeping the same colors and adding and the logon boxes, but add setup new account button

-youtube feeds can be searched by a keyword/keyphrase and then added to the blog.

-Add more video services like youtube. There are a lot of them, not sure what is most used in US? ***********

<ANSWER: Google video, [url removed, login to view], Yahoo video>

-Give user the option to edit/modify blog

-Add themes for blog thru contact service. Does it means that users will ask for a brand new theme made just for him? ******

(ANSWER: Yes. The idea is that there is a link a User can click to request themes. That link goes to you, and you work out a deal with the User for whatever they want. You build custom themes that will always work with this service. You keep all the money from the work you do for the User.>

-Pull Q/A from Yahoo Answers. Take a look at Caffeinated Content:

[url removed, login to view] This application pulls feeds into Wordpress blogs very nicely. It pulls in Yahoo Answers and articles. Can you duplicate the functionality for our service?

Problems to fix:

-Set-up of new account.

-Validate name length and show error message if it's too long.

-Make easier the single youtube video feed

<ADDITIONAL:

(1) We would like to be able to feed content to Squidoo lens sites. Can you do it?

(2) Can you create a Spanish language version of this site. You would get a percentage on the fees earned each month.>

----------------------------------------

End of Statement of Work/Specfication

----------------------------------------

PROJECT DELIVERABLES

Subject: TheBlogautomator - project: Update: 22 Jan 2009

Hi Sergio,

Here's some more information on this project.

One important enahancement is to add the abilty for a User to add RSS feeds to their blog queue for posting. An example of a site with RSS feeds is http://www/[url removed, login to view] We'd like for a User to be able to select an RSS feed such as one from PRWeb, as an example, have have that content added to the queue for the blog they's like to post to. Being able to do that would make it possible for a blog owner to create a blog that gets regular content updates from a wide number of slected sources. Many blog owners would like to have that capability. Being able to set-up the timing for posting is an important capability... blog owners would like content posted on a schedule they select, rather than just have everything post immediately.

Hope this helps you understand what we are trying to create with

[url removed, login to view] web site. It is a monthly subscription serivce.

One question, could this service be made to work with SquiDoo?

[url removed, login to view] Many blog owners have Squidoo lens on various topics. It would be very useful to be able to set-up a queue of content that could post to a Squidoo Lens on a schedule determined by the Lens owner. Is it possible to add that capability to [url removed, login to view]

regards,

Craig

Subject: 3 projects -- summary (from Craig Palmore)

Hi Sergio and Manuel,

I thought it would be helpful to summarize the 3 projects I have recently been describing to you.

1) Browser Buddy

-- Phase 1. The current project. We need to finish this work. We need to get the FF code for review and to update the User Guide to describe what the user needs to have on their computer for the BB toolbar to work correctly.... we need to include the .net disucssion here.

-- Phase 2. This will be the next stage of development. Work will include adding a Google Chrome toolbar, and dividing the features into those that are free and those that the User must pay a monthly subscription fee in order to access and use. I am working on this specification. The basic idea is that we want to make the BB toolbar free to download and use, but add in important features that a User will have to pay a monthly subsciption fee in order to access and use. We also want to add in an ability to place advertisements on the two pages that come up if a User tries to access a site not on the acceptance list or in a non-working URL. This will require

enhancing the Master Administrator control panel so that I can add in

advertisements and thier URLs that will show up on all the Users

error/blocked pages and let those URLs work for everyone. We hope to be able to make money from BB from the subsciption fees and the advertisements. I am working on this Phase 2 specification.

2) [url removed, login to view]

-- this is an existing site that needs to have a number of bugs fixed and new features added. I sent you a project specification and description of what needs fixing and to be added. I am awaiting your review and feedback. Can you do the work? Any questions? What is the cost and time required to do the work?

3) Secure eMail (currently called "Asier DC")

-- I sent Sergio a set-up email from my account in Asier DC so Sergio could get the program running to see what it does and how it works. We are in talks with the company that owns this program (they are called Authenticrypt) to see if we can license and market it. This program needs a few upgrades and enhancements. I sent you a specification describing what we would like done. The work includes adding a capability to the application so that secure email can be sent to - and received by - handheld devices that can read email.... Blackberry, Cell Phones, etc. and improving the service administrator functions. I am working on the specification for this

project.

We have more project work than this, but these projects are plenty. We really do need to get the Phase 1 work on the BB completed.

I hope this project summary helps. Please let me know if you have any

questions.

regards,

Craig Palmore

One that would let the User enter RSS feeds onto a list and then post those feeds to blogs on the schedule they select. The site can be seen at [url removed, login to view] A test user account you can use is: Name = jenna7 and

Is this a project you could do for me? If so, I'll give you more details on what we need.
