The application itself will has a simple user interface. It should be a single window and there will be no need for additional windows.
The window should contain the following elements:
1.) A 4 panel box to accept an IP address
2.) A status box to report the current status
3.) A submission button
The remote computer will be running a fully patched version of Win95/98/ME or Win2K/XP. The application must detect the remote OS version if code differences exist. It is assumed that the remote computer will not have a firewall installed, but ideally the application will work with a firewall.
The application will connect to the remote system via a TCP/IP connection. The specifics of the how the application will gain administrative privilages over the system are unknown as there is no server side counterpart. One possible method would be via port 135 which is normally open on windows machines. Once connected the application will send a signal to the remote computer which will cause it to detonate, ceasing the vitals of any person(s) using the system. To prevent accidental activation, the application should include some type of randomly generated sequence of letters which must be typed in by the user to proceed.
