dvd backup to video cd

This is a desktop application. The product is a DVD Backup program. I am looking for a finished product that will have all of the functionality of "dup-dvd" which can be downloaded here: [login to view URL] This is an excellent point of reference as it does everything I need. Attached is a pic of the GUI dup-dvd uses. The app should: 1. read in and decode a DVD to a HD 2. convert the video & audio to MPEG1 or MPEG2 3. the resulting MPEG should be output in chunks that will fit on a CD-ROM. In other words, it can span multiple CD-R's. 3. output the converted video to either VCD (Video CD) or SVCD format; whichever the user chooses. 4. Burn CD-R's in VCD/SVCD compliant formats. The program must support a large variety of Windows compatabile CD Writers. It is also important that the app be written with a sort of "open architecutre" so it is can be updated with new CD Writer profiles as they become available with relative ease. As a side note: I have done some research and there is quite a bit of free source code which handles each of these processes. There is open source for decoding the DVD to an .avi and also converting to mpeg. Hopefully these resources can speed development time. If you check out the link above, you can download the trial version of dup-dvd and see the end result we are shooting for. After this project is completed there will be an ongoing need, from time to time, for updates to handle any bugs found and to add compatibility for new CD Writer drives as they are released. This can be negotiated separately but is something to keep in mind. ## Deliverables Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. We also require the software to come in an Installation Package (i.e. [login to view URL]). We own a license to Setup Factory and that will be available to the developer.
