Descripción de empleo<br />Develops, tests, documents, implements and maintains Business Continuity (BC)/Disaster Recovery (DR) planning processes for restoration/recovery of IT systems in the event of natural/man-made disasters (e.g., earthquakes, fires, power outages, and power surges). Assists customers in all phases of the recovery process. • Coordinates, facilitates and monitors plan exercises and testing of IT Infrastructure and applications. <br />• Aids in design and administers programs to include policies, standards, guidelines, training programs, and a viable quality assurance process for disaster recovery. <br />• Oversees and facilitates the preparation of an organization-wide business resumption plan. <br />• Responsible for ensuring the business resumption plan adequately addresses the organization's requirements and established time frames. <br />• Identifies resources needed (both systems-related and human resources) for recovery operations. <br />• Conduct Risk, Business Impact and Application Impact Assessment <br />• Perform gap analysis and document strategies and recommendations <br />• Prepare and deliver executive reports and presentations <br /><br />• Broad knowledge of DRII Professional Practices and/or BCI Good Practices. <br /><br />• Deep specialized knowledge in specific aspects of discipline. <br /><br />• Enhances own knowledge through understanding business trends and objectives. <br /><br />• Understands and foresees implications of decisions. <br /><br />• Knowledge of industry and business principles. <br /><br />• Understands the core business process and purpose of the functional area. <br /><br />• Places issues in context of organizational and functional objectives. <br /><br />• In-depth customer knowledge to provide appropriate solutions. <br /><br />Develops and applies project management techniques. • Broad knowledge of DRII Professional Practices and/or BCI Good Practices. <br />• Deep specialized knowledge in specific aspects of discipline. <br />• Enhances own knowledge through understanding business trends and objectives. <br />• Understands and foresees implications of decisions. <br />• Knowledge of industry and business principles. <br />• Understands the core business process and purpose of the functional area. <br />• Places issues in context of organizational and functional objectives. <br />• In-depth customer knowledge to provide appropriate solutions. <br />• Develops and applies project management techniques. <br /><br />Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations/ problems using multiple sources of information. <br />- Qualitative information <br />- Quantitative research <br />- Trend data <br />? Provides process and policy advice. <br />- Explains assumptions and methodologies. <br />- Articulates pros and cons of an action in a clear manner. <br />- Simplifies difficult concepts for non- technical users. <br />• Regularly interacts with colleagues or customers up to executive level management <br /><br />• Develops and documents BC/DR plans, develops and executes plan testing. <br />• Coordinates all specified planning and scheduling actions with the hot site vendors. <br />• Performs the BC/DR recovery planning functions associated with the development, documentation and implementation of moderately complex backup and restoration solutions. <br />• Provides liaison support among all disaster recovery teams and assists in all phases of the recovery process <br /><br />Qualifications<br /><br />DRII / BCI Certification Required<br /><br />8-10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.<br /><br />Undergraduate degree and 4-6 years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 2-4 years relevant experience.
