Install VPN accounting Software on my Windows 2008 Server

Hello I am system and network administrator, with more then 8 years of experience. During that period I have installed, administrate and maintain a large amount of various servers, such as Web Server (Apache, IIS), Mail Server (Postfix, Exim, MS Exchange), DNS Server (BIND, Unbound, MS DNS), etc., based on , FreeBSD, CentOS, RHL, etc. And of course I have a lot of experience in working with MS Servers and other MS products. As well as I have some experience in the database design, development and maintenance. So, I believe that have enough skill and experience for this project. I would like to ask several questions 1. Is the VPN server different from Windows Server 2008? 2. If yes, on which platform it is installed? 3. Where VPN server store users? is it system users? RADIUS? DB? Thank you in advance.
