We have a SQL table with around 128,000 records in. We have a field called Number_Range which holds details of allocated UK telephone number ranges (See NNG_Example attached). You will see that between the digits in the Number_Range column there is white space and I need this to be removed. I have tried to do this using the MySQL Update command on a small subset of data for the 01329 area code (where the NNG is 01329) using the below SQL query
UPDATE nng SET nng.Number_Range = Replace([`Number_Range`],' ','')
WHERE ((([login to view URL])="01329"));
(which usually works correctly) but it's not doing it. If I run it via MySQL directly as a query or I run it via the MS-Access front-end I get a message which tells me that the query failed due to locking violations on all of the records.
I need someone to access the SQL table and fix it for me.
