There are two basic components: NFC reader and access control keypad. The NFC reader is a android phone embedded device used to electronically read the NXP Mifare Classic 1k access card while the access control keypad is used in addition to NFC reader, both a valid card (10-digit S/N) and the correct 4-digit code is required to gain entry access. This project will require an android mobile device as a gateway where it interfaces with both of the components. An Android based mobile app will be made to process a tag’s ID number from NFC reader and access control keypad. Both ID will be sent to a Ubidots cloud database that houses all user’s information. If both the ID is valid, then it will promptly response and display with an access permission status, access granted in the Android app or otherwise. The serial number of the access card is accessible through a NFC enabled PN547 controller in sector 1, block 3.
