A café serving coffee and hot drinks needs to setup a system to manage the whole process of customer orders, billing, invoicing, payment collection.. etc
We had an idea to provide the waiters some kind of barcode reader which enables waiters to enter customers' orders using this device and orders will be sent then waiter serves the order to the assigned table.
But after some thought we got an idea of replacing this bar code reader with an APP, which enables customers to log into the App and preview the menu and select their order via the App.
My queries:-
1. Is it possible to develop such an App to enable customers to make orders?
2. If yes, then we need to develop App for all major platforms i.e. iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows 7..etc
3. We need an alternative for customers not having smartphones, how will they make an order?
4. How will the café management make sure and confirm that customers' orders are real and not fake?
5. We need billing, invoicing and accounts integrated within the system.
6. I need to provide my client all the necessary tools to manage all aspects of the system with ease.
7. We need the system to be Bilingual (Arabic / English ) for both front and backend.
8. A simple survey module is needed. i.e. once customers finish their drink and leave the café they will receive a short survey on their mobile to rate the service i.e.
a) How was our service? ….. excellent – good – average – needs improvement
b) How was your drink? …… excellent – good – average – needs improvement
c) How was the atmosphere?... excellent – good – average – needs improvement
d) Did you enjoy your stay? …. Yes – No
e) Will you come again? ….. Yes - No
9. We need a "Notification" module i.e. once customer enters the promises of the café they will receive a welcome note notification on their mobiles.
