We use Tableau (19.3 at present) to analyse Access and other databases. We have one access database which produces an error when we try to create an extract in Tableau. I attach a screen shot. The database works fine in our application, and we can connect to it Live in Tableau. Its just when we connect with Tableau. We suspect there is a deleted record or something that Tableau doesnt like when it tries to create an extract. The task is to fix the access database so that Tableau can read it. This assumes it is a relatively simple task such as running some maintenance or re-creating the tables into a new database If it is a more serious error we can discuss how to proceed. Note the database is in constant use. We can supply one copy for your investigation of the issue but for final implementation we would need to make sure you are working on the very latest version, and we would have to stop processing whilst you perform the repair on the live copy.
