For example, the solution of problem 1: Volume flow rate: 0.02137 m3/s (21.37 L/s) and the density of the gas using the compressibility charts is 93.57 kg/m3. The error of the ideal equation is -29.04%. Also the solution of problem 2: Maximun volume flow rate of kerosene: 4.8 L /s. Problem 3 can be solved using the properties of Saturated water_pressure tables. The solution of problem 3: Stage_3: Pressure: 1511.77 kPa, Temperature: 198.64°C, Volume: 1.21952 m3 (1219.52 L). Change in internal energy of water: Total: U3-U1=2032.444 kJ/kg, State1-2 (constant pressure): U2-U1=425.36 kJ/kg; State2-3 (constant volume): U3-U2=1607.084 kJ/kg. All calculations are done by hand and explained very clearly step by step.
