Market intelligence: UK NHS Stop Smoking Services

We have been offering cognitive therapy (CT) for smoking cessation for many years. At last it looks like NICE will include CT in their guidelines of approved therapies, which means that for the first time NHS Stop Smoking Service providers will be able to integrate it into their practice. We want to launch an online product to assist existing UK NHS Stop Smoking Service providers improve their outcomes by integrating CT into their treatment protocols. Essentially, this product will boost the success rate of smokers quitting with the NHS by giving them proven strategies to both reduce their desire to smoke (making quitting easier) and to reduce relapse (enabling them to stay quit). Firstly, we need to talk to some NHS service centre managers to understand their processes, needs and how they would like this product to integrate with their existing offerings. Secondly, we need to understand how best to sell to this sector of the NHS and what pricing model might be used (Single centre annual licence fee or per patient billing?).
