I need a Joomla plugin that reads an XML file using PHP DOM Document and adds options to a Joomla list input field. The plugin must verify that the file exists and that the XML name property is correct. The plugin also requires a some configuration inputs.

The Joomla event to target is extensions AfterInstall and AfterUpdate. [login to view URL]

This will be a very bare bones plugin so that I can add the final touches.

I will supply a sample XML file for testing.
