Development of a Web based GIS viewer (cesium) Develop a web-based data visualisation tool with a pipeline to the Cesium platform that can host several file formats for viewing and analysing. Requires deep knowledge and experience with Cesium. Software application name: to be confirmed Background: We collect survey data and need a tool to present this to clients who are not users of GIS software applications. The key is to SIMPLIFY visual analysis of complex data, without cluttering the interface with too many tools. The application must therefore be minimal and intuitive. The web interface requires user login and administration functionality so that we can control data access for end users. The core objectives of this project are to: ● See - the ability to view the specified file formats in 2D and 3D, as individual layers or multiple overlays ● Store - secure storage of data once it has been uploaded to the backend, with the ability to download the files from the frontend ● Annotate - the ability to mark points on the data and add a label or comment (annotate), and the option to export the annotations as a PDF or location link. Data Storage Developer to advise on methods of secure data/storage - cloud options, specifications and costs involved. Ongoing management will be fully controlled by Scout after delivery, with opportunity for the developer to provide ongoing maintenance and development of new tools. User accounts: Developer to advise on how the user login functionality will work in terms of: ● multiple users to access one project, or a single login per project? ● how to track different user comments? Datum/Grids: Developer to advise on datum options to select when data is uploaded or viewed, with capability to change between options.
