Here is a problem I'm having: fullscreen flash game is running in IE11 and I need to be able to "pause" it. It's written in AS2 and I don't really want to use ExternalInterface. By accident I found that alert() box causes the entire page to go dim and pause until alert box is closed. I'm looking for way to do the same with js functions instead of alert box. Also I need it to function in IE11, don't mind other browsers compatibility. You can test it with any SWF and alert() message.

Hi there. Just wanted to tell you that what you want cant to be achieved. But I have to ask you to try it by clicking on Stop (to load the page, upper left corner of the browser) does a thing for that problem, if anything happens, because there is that one method that is attached to a window object. If it doesn't do anything, at least, I tried.
