231679 Directory content display

I have a small but hot project. Need code or script to allow an .shtml web page to display the files names of the content in a specific sub-directory. As files are added to that directory, the .shtml page will automatically display in list form the names of the new files, adding them to the existing file name list. This web site is NOT running on a microsoft server (no ASP, .net). Must be javascript, cgi, php or CSS???? not sure on this. I would prefer to do this using CSS or javascript if possible. The files names will need to be formatted automatically using existing CSS used in the web site. current web site: [login to view URL]
