SEO and monetisation advice

FAO: SEOMaxConsulting. Looking for help on what key words to use with the existing fixed pages (which maybe competing with popular / competitive pages). What keywords to target with other content like blogs which might be less competitive. Iquitos, Peru. Ayahuasca and shamanism. Anything to do with conservation of the rainforest. Any thoughts on how to monetise the website, would also be helpful. At present listings for hotels have a hotel an affiliate search box: [login to view URL] Soon the travel guide will have various affiliate links and searh boxes, just waiting for approval of accounts, there are a couple already. [login to view URL] Will also have a dedicated flight page with searchbox on main menu. There will also be reviews of products and suggestions of protects with Amazon affiliate links. Other pages may have Adsense or other alternative affiliate banners. This is my first web design project and my first affiliate marketing, I taught myself Wordpress three weekends ago. I configured the theme myself. And I'm learning SEO and other marketing techniques as I go. Its very niche, around 250k people travel to the City a year. So even a small slice of that could lead to a surplus after costs, which would enable me to support various local charities who desperately need support in saving the rainforest and protecting the wildlife there. Along with social projects for a desperately poor city. Along with financial contributions from my site, it will also hopefully attract donations and volunteers.
