We are a social project called Whats Up Syria, hoping to connect Syrians living abroad to our beloved homeland, culture and nation ([login to view URL]). We do this through an interactive map, where anyone can upload pictures and videos of Syria today, helping those of us living abroad to reconnect to our roots. We are currently working on highlighting different neighborhoods in Damascus, and are looking for people who are interested in uploading local pictures and short videos to our site. You don't have to be a professional photographer! Anyone with a phone can take pictures of their neighborhoods (roads, community centers, stores, schools, mosques, etc.) and pin them on our map. Please let us know if you are interested in more details and we can discuss a price per number of pictures.
