Character Artist for Educational Software

Illustrator needed to create characters for online interactive educational material aimed at kids aged 11–14. Characters to be created will be approximately 16–17 years old and should be visually appealing to younger kids. We’re looking for four characters who are diverse in background and gender: an African American boy, a Latina girl, an Asian boy, and a Caucasian girl. Style needs to be friendly, slightly hip and modern. Must be in a cartoon-style vector format that is easily convertible to simple animation (no painterly or extremely detailed illustrations, please). Deadline of 14 days from signed contract for the first character to check style and provide feedback. Work to be done on a strictly work-for-hire basis. After approval of style of first character, the other three characters are due within the next two weeks at a fee of $150 per character. Possibility of creating additional characters and scenes at a later date. Please send resume and samples of relevant work, including any previous characters.
