I am running a server that has the latest nginx version: nginx/1.10.3 (Ubuntu). The config was created back in 2012 for the server and needs to be updated to current standards. I have 12 cores and ulimit -n give me 1024. The main issue I am dealing with is high latency connections to eastern countries with my server residing far away. I will provide current configuration file.

Hello, Are you sure this not network related? You can enable logging of request processing time (for backend proxy/fastgi for example) to make sure. High latency for gloabl connections is common problem. I can check More
