Our project is a research project with a goal to deliver a complete web-based medical imaging platform. We are using a similar source like prototype-cornerstone [1, 2] as a tool to display Medical Images (DICOM) from a DICOM Server [3, 6].

At the moment, our system composes a DICOM Server that serves and manages DICOM Images as a PACS. On the other hand, we have a prototype-cornerstone [2] similar system, that uses those DICOM Images to produce several operations over them. Each time we upload a new DICOM file, the new meta-information is therefore written to our JSON files [8, 9].

The prototype-cornerstone is just an incomplete sample of a similar code. The code regarding this project description is not the same since it has more functionality than this prototype-cornerstone. The structure is similar.

The tasks regarding the present project are as follows:

1. CORS Integration;

2. Single Open Patient;

3. Reset Technique;

4. Pixel Probe;

Understanding the task number (1) is trivial since it is a typical issue on a project like this. The idea is just to implement a CORS [10] solution to solve our system communication. For the task number (2), at the moment, the user can open several patients by selecting them from the list of patients. It will open a tab per each open patient. We want to change this behaviour to just let the user open one tab each time. So that this feature needs to limit the UI to have just one tab open. It is also mandatory to have an "X" to close that tab, we do not have it yet. For the task number (3), we want to create an "ESC" shortcut to provide the user with a way of cancelling the annotation. Last but not least, task number (4), is the integration and development of a Pixel Probe [11] feature. Therefore it will be possible to annotate microcalcifications.
