TechXtend, a software solution provider, is looking to create an infographic to illustrate it's approach to security. Objective: To create an infographic that quickly and compellingly illustrates the importance of TechXtend’s “layered approach” to security. Target Audience: Prospective clients and corporate decision makers, with limited IT knowledge, that are having their first introduction to TechXtend. This infographic will be used extensively by our Canadian Team as a “leave behind.” Summary: In a mechanical lock, the less pins, the higher the probability the lock can be picked and breached. A lock with one pin can be breached by an amateur thief, while a lock with five requires an expert. The same can be said with security software. Typically, each software suite covers only a single security vulnerability. That said, to truly limit exposure, security software must be layered. By combining best-in-breed software that individually focuses on one vulnerability, TechXtend creates a virtually impenetrable lock. The points of vulnerability, in order of line of defense, are: Physical Security Threat Education Data Encryption Server Security Endpoint Security Patch Management Creative: To produce an infographic that compares the areas of vulnerability, in the appropriate order, as pins in a lock. The lock, as it a collection of pics, needs to represent TechXtend’s security solution. Similarly, to convey the importance of security, a thief or some form of existential threat should be illustrated on the infographic.
