We're in need of a packaging design where the packaging is part of the product...and where delivery, opening, and storage of the package is critical to the product's success.
When delivered, this package will be used periodically, and the contents will be part of an ongoing project for the customer. The customer will open the box, access one or two specific items, then put the box away for a couple days. When appropriate, they'll pull the box back out, access another item or two, then put it away again for a couple days. This process of taking items out, and replacing items back into the box will happen several times, so the packaging needs to support high use.
Here goes... Deliverable is a complete packaging system including,
*A custom printed rigid box, possibly foldable/collapsible. The box will likely be about 12"x12"x6", square or rectangular. The largest item in the box will be a clear acrylic box, measuring 6 1/4"x6 1/4"x4 1/2". This item will need either a cardboard or foam cut-out to hold the item in place (This is the largest item in the box, and should probably be in the center of the design. All other items will need packaging coordinating with the display of the main item.)
*Coordinating, small rigid boxes used to contain specific items inside the main box. Ideally, these boxes will also be branded, but not necessarily, depending on cost.
*Branded satin pouches large enough to reach a hand into
*Branded tissue paper
*Stationery and envelopes, using wax seal or logo stickers for sealing envelopes. These paper products may be logo branded, or they may just be color/theme matched to help the experience.
*Sourcing of the packaging items (main box, small boxes, tissue paper, stationery)
Branding components are in place, including logos and color scheme.
The box will contain a series of envelopes, each one outlining a task to be completed with one or more items from the box.
The main item in the box is a mini size Kitchen Safe - see [login to view URL] for images.
The second item should be in a cloth pouch, then the pouch placed in a square, rigid box, probably 4"x4"x4", either two piece or flip top box.
Other items in the box will be much smaller, and can be contained in cloth pouches and/or rigid boxes. For now, anticipate that there will be 2-3 additional items.
We're looking for a designer who will review the project with us, understand why the packaging experience is so critical to the product success, and design with with the customer experience in mind.
This is an extremely low volume project. We need to be able to source the main packaging box either as an individual item, or no more than 10-12 at a time. The other items (pouches, stationery, stickers) can be ordered in higher quantities (100-250 per order).
It is also a very urgent project - we're looking for have a completed design, including product sourcing, within 2-3 weeks.
Finally, the completed boxes will be considered Adult Content. If you're uncomfortable working on a project connected to the Adult Entertainment industry, please do not apply.
