THE VIRTUAL MARKET PLACE
The commodity managers ( produce sellers) should be able to list what he has for sale. and what he is looking to buy.
What he has should be displayed by the produce name and and x (list will be provided)
what he needs needs to be displayed by the produce name and a zero (list will be provided)
This should be shown visually. so other shippers can see who has what and how needs what. (a doc. would be provided with a list)
If a shipper wants to do business with a particular Shipper.
SECURE PRIVATE COMMUNICATION:
It should allow them to to that shipper privately and securely. (Nobody else can see their business translation and pricing negotiation). Very important.
If a buyer wants to buy a shipper's excess inventory. A message needs to be sent to the Seller (shipper) and it needs to grab the sellers attention somehow.
Buyer/seller and the market place web site needs to be notified of the intention to buy something or when a transaction occurs.
CLOSING THE DEAL:
If a shipper agrees to sale to another shipper his excess produce inventory than the shipper should be allow to invoice the buyer from the buyer.
If a transaction occurs .050 cents /cartoon needs to be added to the transaction.
It should allow this produce market place to invoice the seller his share of the produced purchased.
Keep a translation record.
NO actual payment will take place on the site just the invoicing.
