I have started my own business which centers around the issue of domestic and family violence. Being that I am a survivor of this I struggle with funds to kick start this project. This booklet is designed to sit along with other reading material and offer victims helpful tips, information on different services and places they can access help without the need to take home this information. Sometimes taking home certain material can result in victims becoming at risk by their violent partners. This Is a quick and easy way for them to gather information at a low risk rate to them and their children. 2. Mobile Application - Adult AMBER Alert This application would be essentially an AMBER alert for adults. Much like the one already available application Police Child ID it is a place for adults to preload their information. It is designed for adults who are concerned about their safety and have found issues with the current wait time on hold for emergency services. The application allows for preloading of vital details, next of kin, details of any children, their schedule and emergency contact details. This would be a single button warning function and be ideally a hidden app. [login to view URL] Based Education Educational program for school aged children. Beginning in prep and taught again in primary school and finally in early high school this package aims to help children identify what domestic and family violence looks like. The program will include the following: - appropriate touching between peers and adults and where to go if those boundaries are crossed. - a series of children's books highlighting male, female and same sex perpetrators for all 10 elements. - educating older students on relationship types, personality disorders and the importance of being a 'whole person' first and foremost before entering a relationship at any age. 4. Workplace Education Continuing on from the schooling project this aims to help within the workplace. This program would help reduce the rates of discrimination within the workplace, help HR and other senior positions identify staff members who may be experiencing domestic and family violence as well as other staff members on how to address their colleagues. 5. Research Project National Redress Scheme This is a research into the national Redress Scheme which followed the Royal Commission into child sexual abuse within institutions. This project aims to see if enough assistance was offered to victims following their application. If so, was that assistance taken up by victims. It aims to look at the rates of reoffending and subsequent incarceration of victims following their report and application. 6. Mobile Application Co-parenting App This is an application which helps parents co-parent. Parents can create a profile for their child and share a calendar, upload photos, upload videos and have their own profile. The app has the function to encourage parents to communicate in a better way by not allowing parents to delete any messages which can be used officially in any family court proceedings. There would be a warning before any message is posted about the individual being aware of this function and are they happy to continuing with sending the message knowing the consequences. This application would be an effective tool to be recommended by organisations such as Relationships Australia. 7. At Risk Youth in Apprenticeships At risk youths are offered apprenticeships. A mechanic shop is subsidized and free car servicing is offered to a number of victims of domestic violence
