Suppose that Points A to G in Figure 3 represent the locations at which some events of a certain type
(e.g., traffic accidents) occur along a network illustrated in Figure 3. Assuming that the density of
events at any point in the network is influenced by all events within 3 units of distance measured
along the network from that point in the Cartesian coordinate system to which the road network is
referenced, answer the following questions.
Events (represented by darkly shaded points) in a road network (represented by a line segment). Note
that the pair of numbers associated with each point indicates the location of that point on a Cartesian
coordinate system.
1-(1) Define a triangular kernel that can be used for event density estimation under the assumption
Described above.
(2) Calculate the density of events at Point X using the kernel defined above.
(3) Calculate the density of events at Point Y using the kernel defined above.
Hello,
Recently I worked on accident management GIS project with World Bank I can show you my work and we can discuss this further. I believe I can be best person for this project.
Relevant Skills and Experience
I have 6 years of professional experience on GIS projects related to energy and infrastructure. I hold an MS degree in GIS and an active researcher too.
Proposed Milestones
kr1777 SEK - Complete project with all visualizations
Additional Services Offered
kr400 SEK - I can provide the actual road routes, with true shapes
