I want to set up a virtual/online card game for my family. I would be able to allow people to join the platform and whenever they want, groups can form a game and play. I do not need to be a player in order for others to play. While playing, people should be able to video chat as a group, or depending on cost, at least text each other. The game is called Gin Rummy and the rules are simple: * One standard deck of cards. Five players per game. There are thirteen rounds in a game. There is a wild card in each round which goes sequentially from ace to king * Five players are randomly dealt seven cards each round. The person who deals goes sequentially around the table each round. If the dealer turns over the first card, and it is a wild card, they get -10 points * Each player takes turns in sequence. To start, they must either pull a random (hidden) card from the pack, or from the card which was turned over by the dealer (if they are the first to play after the dealer) or from the card discarded by the player before them. At the end of their turn they must throw away a card (no exceptions). The discard pile stays on the table, with only the last card visible. * Each player tries to make or put down hands on the table. A hand is made by three or more of one number, or three or more in a sequence of the same suit. If you make a hand with four of a kind (no jokers) you get minus 20 to your score. If you make a hand with four jokers, you get minus 40 * The goal is to put down hands on the table (for all to see) so that they do not remain in your hand. When the deck finishes, or someone puts all of their cards on the table as hand(s) and is able to throw away their last card, the round is ended. The other four players who still have cards not on the table, have to count the card not on the table. Ace is one point, jack, queen and king are ten points, and other cards are their face value. * The person at the end of the thirteen rounds who has the least points wins. * If you make a hand (put it on the table) and someone else who plays after you also has a hand on the table, that person while it is their turn can add their card(s) to the hand on the table or take the wild card from your hand on the table and replace it with the card that the wild card represents (e.g. someone makes a hand with two fives and a wild card representing a five. You have a five in your hidden cards and have put one of your own hands on the table. You can either add your five to their hand on the table or take the wild card in their hand and replace it with your five. You can then use that wild card as anything you want to make a hand, or you can just keep the wild card in your hidden cards for use in a future round.
