Small Animation

You are to create a short animation which demonstrates basic animation skills. In this assignment task you have three scenarios to choose from, however no matter which scenario you select you must ensure that you follow the scenarios requirements and that you also produce a written report. Also you must make sure that your animation is presented in an appropriate file type for playback. E.g. as a .swf file or as a movie file. Scenario 1: Adobe Flash Based Animation In order to successfully complete this task you will have to include the following within your animation: • A title at the start and credits at the end. • Demonstration of the planning and creation of your animation (e.g. storyboards.) • Demonstration of motion tweening • Demonstration of shape tweening • A third element of your choice to demonstrate an animation skill. You need to produce one sequence that demonstrates the animation skills listed above. You should be creative with your task outputs and not just have shapes moving across the screen. You can either demonstrate these items separately or combined but your animation will need to be at least 1minute long. You will need to create a set of storyboards for your animation as proof of planning. Scenario 2: A Stop Motion Animation In order to successfully complete this task you will have to include the following within your animation: • A title at the start and credits at the end. • Demonstration of the planning and creation of your animation • You need to demonstrate through your production of your animation an understanding of this style of animation. • You must incorporate at least two different objects within your animation. • You must include the stills of your animation as proof of your work. You will need to create a set of storyboards for your animation as proof of planning. Your animation will need to be at least 1minute long from start to finish. Scenario 3: PowerPoint Flip Book In order to successfully complete this task you will have to include the following within your animation: • A title at the start and credits at the end. • Demonstration of the planning and creation of your animation • Demonstrate that you have a basic understanding of your selected form of animation by the creation of a short animation project. • You must incorporate at least two different objects within your animation. • You must submit the PowerPoint file with applied timings as proof of your work.
