Whilst I worked with several big brands at senior level in my former life in London agencies I now run my own e-commerce business & work alongside small brands and start-ups. My approach would firstly be to understand your friends wine business & it's goals. We would then look at a content strategy that includes consistent visual & tonal language, tagging strategy & a review of competition & platform insights (should your friend already be socially active). We would work together to create a set of guidelines - what we would & would not do or say online so that moderation, comment and DM management is effective. A valuable exercise that saves time in the long run. In addition to the daily management of Instagram we would look at the repurposing of content for LinkedIn & Facebook to ensure an integrated approach across platforms. For example positioning your friend as an expert / thought leader on LinkedIn & an approachable/advisory brand on Facebook. In terms of growth I would also want to look at influencer marketing & the opportunities to partner with accounts that can drive engagement.
