We are conducting a project designed to help people manage anxiety because we believe that education and training can help people overcome fear. We are looking for someone with high attention to detail who is accurate and efficient in their work because accuracy is important for the success of the project. The first role within this project involves assessing the accuracy of a putting task we conducted, so your task will be to skim through the videos of the putts and tag the positions at which each ball stops. Here’s a breakdown of what will be involved, with a screencapture attached here ([url removed, login to view]): 1. Import the video to Kinovea (which can be downloaded for free from [url removed, login to view]) 2. Calibrate between any of the two coloured dots; calibrate length as [url removed, login to view] (i.e., the distance between two corresponding coloured dots) 3. Set coordinate system origin on the red dot in the video 4. label the coordinates of the target dots from front to back using lowercase words (i.e., pink, yellow, red, black, blue). To label coordinates, right click the point and hit ‘Track’, then right click again and hit configure and enter the label, and finally right click a third time and hit “end tracking.” 5. The next step is to track each of the 10 putts and label it by the target the person was aiming for (indicated by the white card in the video). Starting with the 1st putt, play the video until the ball comes to a stop. Then track the golf ball (by right clicking and clicking ‘Track’) and configure (right clicking again) it as ye1 (as in yellow target, attempt 1; please use pk, ye, re, bk, and be as abbreviations for the target colours). Then right click the point again and end the track. That’s the first putt done 6. Continue this with all 10 putts (Note: if the ball travels outside the screen of vision, or does not enter the field of vision, mark the point of that particular putt at the bottom right corner of the screen; if two balls aim for the same target, only code the first one). At the end, you should have all 10 putts calibrated and labelled 7. Then export the data to excel. What you will see is a spreadsheet of data with 5 targets and 10 putts. To start with, there are four videos that we would like you to code for the purpose of this gig, with your involvement and scope likely to expand over the next year. If you would like to be considered for this role, please start your application with two pieces of information because only serious candidates will be considered: 1) what is Kinovea designed for? And 2) what do you enter in the “label” section when coding the final putt for each video? You will need to watch the video screen-capture to answer this second question. This job will not be eligible for a milestone, but will be paid via invoice. We expect that coding these four videos will take around 2.5 hours.
