Robot Hi Ben. I would probably make it on ARDUINO platform, just have experience with them and some of it's version are very small. In this way no need to bother with PCB design for a prototype, just ARDUINO PCB with some additions like button, buzzer, LED, may be an amplifier and 3D printed case with battery compartment. I'm an electronic engineer with 7 years of experience in 3D modelling using SolidWorks. Good technical background. Experience in 3D printing, manufacturing drawings. I'm ready to discuss details by messaging before starting, contact me if interested. Best Regards Anatolii

Hi Ben, I am a Melbourne based electrical and control system engineer - 30 years of experience. First - I know exactly what type of device you are wanting to manufacture - I have used them plenty of times. When I was in Canada last year and needed to buy a pile of tools one of these was the first thing I bought. So I know what these are. Second - What are you exactly trying to do? There are multiple companies making these - companies like Fluke and they already have huge market share. In some of the big hardware stores in Canada (like Home Depot) you could chose any of 3 or 4. Every industrial electrical supplier in Australia and Canada has 1-2 to chose from. I don't know what your background is, but my guess would be electrician (or similar). Part of my background is in building manufacturing production cells, which has included plastic molded parts. Are you aware of the costs involved with the initial start-up of plastic molded parts - particularly the molds which are incredibly expensive. Designing a smaller more compact version of a voltage tester - more like a pen rather than a magic marker should not be that difficult. What will break you is the cost of getting into production. I can help with all of it - but you really need to evaluate what it is you are trying to do and if there will actually be a market for it. Let me know what you want to do next.

I consider that the device is viable using microcontroller technology, for which I have great skill in programming and designing the PCB in Software PROTEUS. I am also bilingual Spanish - English.
