Hi, I'm electrical engineer. We can measure voltage drop across capacitor using a very high shunt resistance and then measuring a voltage drop across it using an ADC with any micro controller. Hello, Thanks for posting the project. I am an Electrical Engineer with 30 years’ experience of Customized Product Development for Instrumentation and Control applications. I am based in Kolkata (India) and running a business in the name of "Zetek Systems". I have a good hardware setup and a team for fabrication and testing. My advice is that you first use a differential amplifier to measure the voltage across the capacitor and then feed the output of the differential amplifier to the comparator circuit. Another point I want to mention is that, discharging is not done at constant rate, so the discharge curve will be exponential and not linear as drawn by you. Looking forward to your valued reply.
