I sell subliminal programming apps. Usually I would tell my customers to use wired earbuds with frequencies from 8Hz - 20kHz. As you know the human ear does not hear sounds below 20Hz. However subliminal recordings are positive messages recorded at 18hz or 9 Hz. Now many smartphone users do not have a place to plug in wired headsets. They are bluetooth. My question is does bluetooth cover the below 20 Hz frequencies? I am speaking with manufacturer sales people in China and with to manufacture earbuds that cover the needed range for my subliminal programming. Later after I would want them tested to insure they are covering the sub liminal ranges. This job is to discuss the earbud ranges. Not for doing thetesting.

Hi This is an interesting project. Something to note is the Bluetooth uses various different codecs so you wouldn't be able to provide a spec for bluetooth in general. All these codecs are lossy... lossy codecs compress and discard "unnecessary" audio information, because less data makes for a more stable wireless connection. AptX which is a very popular codec has a frequency response of 20Hz – 22.7kHz.

Hi! I´m an audio engineer with experience in acoustical testings. I can make a measurement of the headphones with a measurement microphone to check if they are transmitting those frequencies. Also i think there is another problem apart of the Bluetooth and it's the physics, if you are talking about small headphones (button type) the membrane is too small to reproduce low frequencies, no matter if they are wireless or not.
