Drupal editorial experience enhancement (WYSIWYG etc.)

We run Drupal 7 websites. We want to be able to setup the same content editing experience across each website. We need leadership from you on the best tools that the Drupal community provide for content editors. We already run our code from Git so we want a quick and easy way to put this work live, probably using Drush. We require a document explaining exactly how this works so we can extend this work in the future if we wish. We currently use tinyMCE and we want to set up our WYSIWYG with far more styles that work in the front-end. We've had a lot of trouble before trying to get that to work because of how Drupal filters out certain HTML from content. We've had really bad content appear because of hidden formatting when editors have copied and pasted from MS Word so we've had to compromise on what gets through the Drupal filters. We want a well documented guide on how to add styles and formatting options. We want photo editing to include crop and positioning rather than auto-crop + CDN (possibly), we want recommendations on best practice and the best Drupal tools used by the Drupal community. We also want it to be seamlessly upgradable to Drupal 8 (or 9) when we decide to make that upgrade. You need to demonstrate an understanding of these elements and demonstrate previous successful experience in this specific area. All websites are separate, separate IPs, separate servers, separate database, just codebase shared. Not all sites have all modules installed as some are custom modules written just for that site. The custom modules are extremely similar though. I won't give server access either, I never do because we have sensitive info about users. I am Head of IT here and can respond to any queries, upload files, trial scripts etc. We have staging servers for each site accessible via IP and http authentication which I can give you, but you won't have SSH, FTP or any other form of Linux access.
