Technology: classic APS/VBScript, mySQL, Django API framework. This project is for a classic ASP/vbScript script that will read data from remote server through API and INSERT/UPDATE it into mySQL database. API is pretty simple, just a list of product records. For each product there are 20+ elements, such as title, product identifier (isbn), quantity on hand (QOH), and others. The script will have 2 modes - update and insert (specified in URL, like ?mode=INSERT). In update mode, it will UPDATE QOH for every record. In insert mode, it will check if the product is already in the database using the identifier (refnum2). If it's not in database, insert it. In insert mode, skip all records where API shows QOH=0. I will provide the winning bidder with 1) API address and login 2) Detailed script description and SQL queries. (see attached file) 3) .sql file to import database table structure. The code should be classic ASP using vbScript and should not use outside components. No server-side jScript either, not supported by the server.
