I have a contact form online that seems to be working for most users, and I just tested it again myself (using IE9) without a problem, but I have gotten several complaints that it is not working in some way for others.
Here is the most detailed complaint receieved:
"In case you are wondering why so few people are contacting you through your contact form: The form will always fail the length check on the comment field. The function "NotRequired" starts with "with (fieldname)" which switches the scope to the comment field, which is a textarea. The textarea has a property called "maxLength", which shadows the function parameter "maxLength". This causes the function to make sure that the length of the comment is less than -1.. I circumvented this by using FireBug to set the maxLength property of the textarea to 5000. But that is a lot of effort just to send you guys a message!"
I do not really understand the issue.
I'd like someone to bid on this job who can both: reproduce the problem (or is getting it on their computer), and knows what the solution is.
