I have a project that I need help with. I would like to have a device developed that is able to communicate with the Victron range of inverters, specifically the multiplus.
Specifically, I would like to read from the Victron backup inverter what the battery voltage and current is, approximately every 0.1s.
With this information available, I would like to move to a second phase of the project where I communicate with a grid-tie inverter like Fronius (which converts DC from solar panels to AC on the mains) and communicate the power production (and other paramters) with RS485 based instructions. See the attached document. The inverter under consideration has a built in communication card.
If you have experience in the MODBUS and/or RS485 and believe we can successfully develop a device like this on Arduino/Raspberry pi or a PIC, please get in touch.
I will request a NDA, and ask for a copy of the code, a comprehensive explanation of the development, and if possible, a functioning prototype. We will have to discuss how you access an inverter to test the developed device.
Hello, I have worked with modbus over RS-485 for industrial programming. Budget of this project can be from $250 to $500. Because here is also specific VE.bus. And I don't read full specification about this both devices. If you interested - let me know. We can discuss details, timeline and price.
I prefer to use atmel MCU with pure gcc code (atmel studio), custom or arduino board. Raspberry pi also can be considered.
