Data Specialist-Data Eng (x2)

Role Purpose
· Plan and Control the Data Modelling, Data Transformations, Data Storage Design and Data Training
· Also be responsible for designing databases for specific needs and provide training the use of data storage and retrieval systems, databases and software
Key Accountability
· To design and translate complex business data into usable data/information and work with data architects to design databases that meet Business needs using conceptual, logical, and physical data models
· To ensure models are designed to improve efficiency and outputs, and may focus on issues such as reducing data redundancy or improving data movement across systems
· To provide consultation in Identifying Business Needs to improve business returns , efficiencies, defining business users’ requirements, understanding of data flows, propose and implement innovative data solutions
· To create and maintain Data Models, by working closely with Data engineers to create optimal physical data models of datasets, then create and maintain data maps and systems interrelationship diagrams for data domains and systems
· To set Standards, by defining and governing data modelling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development methodologies for the organization for which they work. Also set standards for document naming, security, and lifecycle & retention architecture
· To advise on recommendations based off of data analysis, recommends for standardization and proper data usage. Championing the usage of data in business, and communicate the benefits and return on investment for application and product owners
· To provide data model reporting to Business Unit Master Users
Qualification & Experience
· MBA or MBA IT(Preferred) with 4 years experience in Data Modelling for Business or data Lake Environments, or
· Degree in Information technology with Business Experience Or Business with IT Skills/Experience - 4 years experience in Database, Basic ETL and Business Intelligence Tools i.e. Power BI Apps, Dataflow, Security and Admin

Skills & Knowledge
· DB Concept design and Cloud Data Solutions i.e. Data Ocean, Lake and Marts
· Business Intelligence Solutions developments
· Airlines Business and Operations (Preference)
Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
