Creating a 2-D Morlet Wavelet as given in the paper

I want to create a 2-D Morlet filter as specified in the paper and get the results as shown but I am not able to understand the equations given on page 4 of this paper. I am even giving a link which shows the creation of Morlet wavelet but again I am not able to understand it. You can even use that program to create the filter but with certain parameters fine tuned so that I get the desired output but please keep in mind that once you are able to get the output you must explain me how the algorithm works and how to solve the equations. If any query, please feel free to ask. Note: Filter should be implemented as given in the paper by Soares et al. and there is one other referencing paper.
