Report about fire Engineering:
A fire scenario. Provide a report responding to the following questions:
1. Identify the building in terms of: building type, classification, use, function, height, floor area, location. ( to be discussed later )
2. Design a specific fire scenario for the building you have chosen and:
a. Describe the fire chemistry and fire mechanics involved from ignition to decay.
b. Provide details of an ignition source, and the relationship it has with the fuel, including flammability range, heat of ignition, and discuss how fire chemistry knowledge and material selection can mitigate ignition and growth in the incipient stage.
c. Describe the fire load of the space in which your design fire is located, including the fuel types and potential calorific value of materials stored, and the materials and linings in the space. ( to be discussed later )
d. Describe potential smoke behavior from a fully developed phase of your design fire.
