I need a circuit design to trigger two MP3 players.
Each player has 8 trigger pins.
When a pin is momentarily shorted to ground (low) the player
plays the MP3 file associated with that pin.
One section of the circuit will automatically play MP3 files
1 through 8 on PLAYER "A" spaced by an adjustable INTERVAL
TIMER.
The other section of the circuit will play MP3 files 1 through 8
on PLAYER "B" by manually pushing buttons.
Each time an MP3 file is played I need a MASTER RELAY to
hold energized for 30 seconds.
All of my MP3 files will be 30 seconds in length.
I need the circuit design to use simple, basic and common I.C. chips. No micro-
controllers that require programming.

I believe I could easily design this for you based on the simple 555 timer IC. However the timing tolerance will not be very accurate using this method. In actual fact a micro controller device would be very accurate, very simple circuit and a cheaper solution. However the bid is for the 555 timer solution as you requested
The deliveables would be a circuit as a pdf and a BOM as an excel spread sheet fully costed using distrubuters part numbers

Wow brother, I can do your project as you want on separate chips. It's too easy for me to do so. I'll even take care of whatever chips were not many. But whether this is convenient for you to gather a large scheme. This will probably be more than 6 chips. But if we take the microcontroller it will be 1 chip and I can do so do not need any additional strapping, like quartz and capacitors.
This is not a complex design. That is the reason why I chose it as my first project Freelancer.
Dicrete analogue and logic chips fit very well for this circuit.
