6PPD is used in the rubber industry as an antioxidant. Coming in contact with metal containers, it is a contaminant. This project is aiming at finding an economical way to remove the contaminant form a galvanized metal surface.
My background is PhD in Chemical Engineering from top 10 programs in US and bachelor in polymer science. My research focused on contaminants removal from solid and liquid phase for recycling process. And my background in polymer science equips me with solid understanding in rubber formulation. To help you solve the issue, I will focus on the following four steps. (1) Help you develop a procedure to quantity 6ppd residual amount (2) Understand your requirement in 6ppd removal percentage (how much is removed) and removal rate(how fast).
