Hi!
We need a *very thorough* review of a C# application that we have developed over the past 6 months. This application is a very specific, small application that uses the WebRequest class liberally.
I am a seasoned PHP developer; I know the C# app's code base well but I'm not a great C# developer, That's where you come in.
You *must* have a strong working knowledge of:
>> The C# Langauge / .NET Framework,
>> Web Requests,
>> HTTP Protocol (Keep-Alive, Gzip Encoding, how it relates to C#)
>> How to package C# applications for mass consumption
>> JSON (arrays vs objects, etc .. you should be good enough to write JSON by hand)
For example, you should know the difference between .NET 4.0, .NET 4.0 Client Profile, and .NET 4.5, and which one to target. You should know what MaxServicePointIdleTime is, and how the automatic gzip/deflate works in the context of C# (because I don't!).
Minor PHP knowledge is a plus but not necessary.
This application is already built and the functionality is well-laid-out. However, we are having reliability problems, and we need a professional C# programmer to thoroughly review the code to make it ROCK-SOLID, and also to introduce some very minor features and configurability.
This isn't a very large project. As I've stated, the main functionality is less than 1,000 lines long... but it is VERY urgent that we get all issues resolved promptly.
