Looking for a qualified Electrical Engineer or Computer Engineer. Must have experience in Embedded Hardware development, debugging and fault finding and using test instruments. Must also have experience in Embedded Software development, firmware writing in C, more specifically be proficient in writing codes for 8/32 bits microcontrollers (Atmel/Microchip). Familiarity with RTOS in embedded controllers, or some sort of task scheduler very important. Candidate will be required to work on firmware code that is 20-40K lines+. Will require to sign Non compete NDA to be considered Price range is flexible for right candidate, initially we seek to find right person so a fixed fee to do fixed work within price range will be negotiated if suitable applicant found. IMPORTANT NOTE ******************* Our main engineer has asked for candidates to provide some example C Code of an embedded PCB project done by all qualifying candidates to determine programming style compatible for our needs THIS IS MANDATORY Existing candidates and new candidates must comply to be considered. We seek multiple developers for various aspects of our development. PRICE Is a holding price and successful candidates will be given clear specification and / or code and / or design and asked to develop code / PCB design etc (depending on project) @fixed price initially with longer term goal being milestone based payments and / or hourly rate. NOTE: We do NOT pay hourly rate from start, we prefer you prove your skill set and capabilities and will be rewarded from there. Roles are for long term developments.

I'm an electronic engineer with more than 15 years of work experience. I work as HW designer; FW and SW developer. As HW designer, I work in Altium, KiCad and Orcad and I have experience in development single MCU (Microchip PIC and ARM Cortex) boards with several digital I/O (GPIO, UART, SPI, I2C, PWM,....) and some analog I/O. I am in Melbourne and have over 30years experience in prototype and industrial machinery. It has been sometime since I have done embedded. But I worked for a company that did embedded cut to length controllers for sheet metal machinery. We were using Z-world Z80 & Z180 RTOS (real time OS) all in C. Don't ask for code I haven't got any, it was in my past. I have no issue with NDAs in fact it tells me you at least take yourself seriously. Also it looks like you are fairly well organised in what you want. My most important question is why are you looking for people on Freelancer when there are plenty of fresh graduates in Australia or is that the reason? However if you want cheap graduates or foreigners then I am not your man. But if you want someone who knows how to take a project from idea to industrialized product then talk to me.
