Project scope is for a ESP32 module to have bidirectional communication over Bluetooth to a Windows10 application.
For that, is required the development of ESP32 firmware and the development of a Windows10 application.
Freelancer needs to already have a ESP32 development platform.
ESP32 used module for development purposes need to be one of three possible, 1)ESPRESSIF's, ESP32-DEVKITC, 2)Adafruit's Feather HUZZAH32 - ESP32, 3)SparkFun's ESP32 Thing. So freelancer should already has one of those alternatives in order to develop the required firmware, also result work and deliverables will be tested for acceptance on one of those.
ESP32 application needs to be for a device that will communicate with the Windows10 application over Bluetooth. It will send the status of some of ESP32's GPIO to Windows10 application and also set the status of some of its GPIO based on data that receives from the Windows10 application.
Also, the Windows10 application, will read the data sent from ESP32 via Bluetooth and show them on a minimal windows form. Additionally it will send data to ESP32 via Bluetooth, based on some user controls/buttons of its windows form.
This project aimes to serve as a test case, proof of concept, thus it has quite a freedom in data/protocol definition.
Critical and needed is the overall framework whereas an ESP32 device will be paired and communicate with a Windows10 C/C++/C# application and exchange data over Bluetooth.
ESP32 firmware needs to be based/developed on ESP-IDF, Windows10 application to be based/developed in Visual Studio.
Deliverables are the source code/project files of ESP32 firmware and flashing instructions, also the source code/project files of the Windows10 application.
