You will develop and test an “Arduino” sketch which will compile on the Arduino IDE and run on an ESP32 WROOM development board utilizing the ULP core to count interrupts and poll a INA219 sensor, while the main board is in deep sleep. This is part of a larger program, which collects different sensor information via I2C. This project is only to develop the deep sleep routines, to keep collecting critical sensor information during deep sleep periods. You do not need to worry about the rest of the program at this point. You will develop a small program which will later be integrated into the larger program. Your program starts, sets the internal RTC via NTP and any other required environment and goes to sleep. It will wakeup on predefined interrupts and display the previous state (eg sleep or re-boot) and the source of the wakeup event (ie. the interrupt which caused the wakeup event) on the serial console. The latest interrupt counts and INA219 sensor information will be displayed. The sketch will continue counting interrupts both during sleep and awake periods. I have reached the ends of my capabilities with a home electronics project I am working on and am looking for a freelance developer to help out with the part. If you are convertsant with this type of work, hopefully this will be an easy thing for you to implement which won't break the bank for me ;-) Please ensure that you properly read the project document attached.

Hi I'm Matt from Warton Circuits Ltd located in the UK. I've have 20 years of industry experience in microcontroller development and I am currently finishing off today a project for another client using an ESP8266. Your project sounds relatively straight forward to complete - one point that does come to mind is I'm not sure you'll be able to measure the deep sleep current of the ESP32 with the INA219 - its a chicken or the egg type problem! The ESP32 would need to be "awake" to read the current register of the INA219. Not sure if this would be a problem, if it is i'd probably suggest having a power-efficient "helper" micro on the PCB as well which would keep track of the current draw. I don't have to hand the shunt sensor that you mentioned, however I could order a dev board for it (likely to be next day delivered). I look forward to working with you on this project, Regards Matt Brocklehurst.

Hello automation engineer here, Sorry to tell you this buddy but using ulp on arduino ide is not a good ideia, it’s doable yes but buggy ! I can give it a try but I’m offering you to code it on esp-idf! I can help you with that and even convert any arduino code to run on esp-idf no problem, or to make arduino framework to run on esp-idf as well! I already did a few ulp codes in the past, check my profile !

Hello We have been an engineer for more than 8 years in the market and have already developed projects for several companies using microcontrollers like PIC, AVR, Arduino, ARM, NXP, Nordic, Texas among others. Using the general description of your project is possible to make a generic estimate, but the refinement of the total amount of work and the value of it will depend very much on the quantity and complexity of the features to be implemented, so I look forward to your contact for more details. Thank you. Elton Vieira

Greetings, Your project seems interesting. I have worked with ESP deep sleep mode but that was a simple project which woke up the controller every minute or on a particular external interrupt. I have some questions about your requirements. Please message me so we can discuss if further.

interrupts , ultra low power and deep sleep subjects are very difficult things so I need more money.
