Hello I am a student looking for a little help on a project, I am a senior with a lot of work on my plate hence coming here. I am an average student my papers usually range from Bs-Cs, I have an outline for what is needed in this paper. "The policy I chose is perfect for this problem and can help us see what the problem is with the educational system and what has been done already to help this. This policy is, Race to the Top a policy passed during President Obamas tenure as president" this is the policy I chose in order to do this paper. The paper should be about 5-7 pages and cover a brief history of your selected policy (including a description of the problem(s) that necessitated the policy), and a description of the policy/program itself. After introducing your topic and outlining the paper in an introductory paragraph, include the following sections. Use the page length indicated after each section as a flexible guideline. Title the separate sections with the headings from below. 1. History & Social Problems (about 2-3 pages) Begin with providing some historical background of the policy. Examine the problem(s) that led to the creation of the policy, major changes/adjustments, and why its continued existence is required. Address when and how the policy began. Use questions suggested in the handout (Karger & Stoesz, Spotlight 2.1., p. 29) as a guide. 2. Policy Description (about 2-3 pages) Provide a policy description, which introduces the policy and how it works (think who, what, when, where, why, and how). Use questions suggested in Karger & Stoesz, Spotlight 2.1., p. 29 as a guide. 3. Life Course Perspective (about ½ – 1 page) Discuss how the life course perspective can be applied to this particular policy/program. References A Reference section should be at the end of the paper. Use at least 8 references. You may use the textbook as one of your sources, but also use at least 5 other scholarly sources – either books or academic journal articles. You can also use professional reports, government publications, agency records, and other sources as described in the Karger & Stoesz handout (pp. 34-35). Most your information should be from sources other than the textbook. No more than 3 websites may be used, and they must be credible government or professional websites. This does not include articles, reports, and other publications that you find online. it’s a very good idea to run any websites by me before using them. DO NOT USE: editorials, commentaries, blogs, Wikipedia, YouTube, popular media, or other sources not conforming to the above instructions.
